A family room, that is created to entertain but still be used on a daily basis. An entryway that is very simple and uncluttered. My client wanted this space to be elegant but functional because this is a space that her family uses daily. She also wanted the space to be pet friendly. She loves coral and wanted to incorporate this color in the room without it being overwhelming. We included navy blue to complement the accent color and neutrals to ground everything.
My client wanted a space that felt like home for her and her family. The inspirational piece for this room was the artwork over the sideboard. We wanted to incorporate some of the colors in this artwork without having the colors overpower the room. We went with a custom made sectional, in a high performance fabric in a silver taupe color. We chose the high performance fabric because she has kids, so we wanted a fabric that was easy to clean. The accent wall is a charcoal gray color, so we chose the two storage cabinets in neutral wood. We wanted the client to have enough seating for entertaining, so we added two accent chairs and a nesting table, that created a conversation area. We also chose a coffee table that complemented the storage cabinets. We wanted the artwork to be the focal point of the room, so we chose a beautiful green sideboard to place under the artwork. We added a contemporary round dining table in the breakfast area and completed the look with leather chairs in a camel color.
