This bedroom is a reflection of what love is. From the brass accessories to the blush pink accents. The best of both worlds colliding to make one romantic safe haven.
My client wanted a bedroom to come home to after a hard days work. Our inspirational piece was the artwork over the sofa, the client had this piece of art and wanted us to incorporate it into our design. We chose the blue wallpaper by Candice Olson for the accent wall so we can highlight the gray tufted headboard. We went with white and accents of gray for the bedding, and brought in a leather bench at the foot of the bed. The client wanted an area to lounge and read or watch television so we included the sofa in the room, which is custom made with a dark gray velvet material. To bring everything together we added splashes of coral in the room that we pulled from the artwork.
For this project, the client was moving into a smaller upscale apartment building and needed a tranquil space for relaxing and entertaining. We used neutral tones throughout the apartment with pops of bold jewel tones in accessories, decor and bedding. Modern artwork pulls together the room.
The transitional feel of the room has traditional elements with modern appeal. The living room upholstery is from Bassett Furniture and has lush texture in chenille and velvet that adds depth to the pieces. The upholstered beds soften the room and contrast the modern storage pieces. Because the space is open, we kept the light and airy feeling with sheer linen drapery panels that match throughout for a subtle touch.
The open concept living area and kitchen space required finishing touches and decorative accessories to really bring the space to life. Accent colors were pulled from the rug in the living area and used throughout the space. A large amount of interest was brought in by accessorizing the bookcases/built-ins. Personal accents such as family photos and other pictures were incorporated along side the accent colors to bring everything together.
Pattern, texture and color were brought into the master bedroom with the addition of pillows, throws and a large area rug. The differing patterns work together to create an inviting master bedroom space while the pops of color and texture bring it to life.
